Denise grew up in a small town in eastern Kentucky where she was raised in a godly home. She and her husband Jeff have four children, Noah, Nathan, Naomi, and Nora. She loves children's ministry and believes it is vital to the church. She follows Jesus' direction as he answers his disciples' question in Matthew 18. He told them to become like children, welcome them, protect them, and value them as a kingdom priority. She has a heart for the littlest, for the family, for the child who is struggling, and for the kids who have never heard the name of Jesus yet.
She has served in various capacities in children's ministry throughout the years, including children's director at a church plant in northern Kentucky. She has taught preschool and worked in the public school system, and loved getting to substitute teach at her own children's school. She earned an associate's degree in Christian studies and a B.S. in Human Services at the University of the Cumberlands with a concentration on counseling and recovery. Denise's passion for serving and sharing the love of Christ has always been a deep calling in he life. She has been involved in ministry in some capacity all of her life. She is excited that God has allowed her the opportunity to serve alongside the people at FBC Elmore City sharing the gospel and making new disciples. She is passionate about ministering to kids and has a heart for families to grow in their wisdom and relationship with the Lord.
